Tom-ay-to tom-ah-to

Today I made tomato soup from scratch, which was fun. I like making soups. They're easy to make, and usually turn out good. This one certainly did! Very happy with the result. Recipe as follows:

Tomato soup
  • 2 cans of diced tomatoes
  • 4 plum tomatoes
  • 1 chili
  • 1/4 onion
  • 1-2 cloves of garlic
  • 1 bouillon cube
  • 1 dl cream
  • A dash of olive oil
Chop the chili and cut the onion and garlic into cubes. Heat the olive oil in a saucepan and saute the onion, chili and garlic together with some salt and pepper. Add the cans of diced tomaoes, chopped up plum tomatoes and the boullion (dissolved in a bit less than the recommended water amount). Let simmer until everything is tender, then make it into a smooth puree with a food processor, or something similar. Add the cream and more salt and pepper if needed, and voilĂ ! A wonderful tomato soup. Can be served with macaroni, eggs, cheese, whatever you want, really. A very versatile dish that most people enjoy!
